Updates and Information

Dear Tiverton Parents and Guardians,

As of the writing of this newsletter we have completed 24  days of school with great success. Attendance is up at all five schools - thank you parents for ensuring that your child comes to school each day - attendance matters.  At the middle and high schools we are noticing a positive impact of the new cell phone policy. Teachers report students are more engaged in class  and administrators are seeing less disciplinary issues. We appreciate your support of our policy.

In case you didn't notice, our underrated  Tiverton High School Football team is 3-1. They have a home game this Friday night at 7:00 p.m.

There is no school next Monday, October 9th  due to Indigenous People Day and next Friday, October 13th due to a professional development day for our staff.

Our Parent Advisory Committee is set to have our first meeting on Tuesday, October 10th at 9:30 a.m. in the administrative conference room at THS. If you would like to join this Committee please email Superintendent, Peter Sanchioni at psanchioni@tivertonschools.org

The next School Committee meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, October 10th at 7:00 p.m.   Principals will be presenting their School Improvement Plans.

Please read the attached letter regarding distance learning on days when school is canceled.

Distance Learning Letter

The key feature of our distance learning is having our students use Google Classroom to receive information and turn in assignments. Our students are taught to use Google classroom in school. To assist our parent community to understand the nuance of Google Classroom please watch this video.
