Updates and Information

Dear Tiverton Parents and Guardians,

This past week marked a significant milestone in our school year, as we celebrated the completion of 100 days. I am delighted to share that we have witnessed substantial progress across all levels of our educational institution. Attendance has shown a notable increase across the board, with our high school receiving a commendable accreditation report (accessible on our website). Additionally, the middle school has demonstrated significant advancements in the RICAS assessment, while the high school has been recognized by the College Board for expanding its Advanced Placement (AP) offerings and increasing student participation.

Furthermore, our elementary school continues to make steady progress, ensuring that students at all levels have access to enriching educational opportunities. Many of our dedicated teachers have embraced innovative teaching methods, incorporating project-based learning activities to actively engage students in their educational journey.

It's crucial to recognize that this remarkable growth is a direct result of the unwavering commitment of our educators who prioritize both student learning and meaningful relationships. As we look ahead to the next 80 days, I am confident that our success will persist, culminating in another impressive graduation rate for the Class of 2024. Together, we are shaping a positive and enriching educational experience for our students.

WINTER

It is that time of the year when due to the weather,  I am faced with making decisions on school closures and/or delays. The process I used to make that decision is outlined here:

Please read the attached letter regarding distance learning on days when school is canceled.

Distance Learning Letter - on days when school is closed due to the weather

The key feature of our distance learning is having our students use Google Classroom to receive information and turn in assignments. Our students are taught to use Google classroom in school. To assist our parent community to understand the nuance of Google Classroom please watch this video.
