On Monday evening, the TPS SELAC held its first annual Awards Recognition event. Over 50 people came to celebrate outstanding educators, students, and programs nominated for consistently providing exceptional services to advance the success of students with special needs in the Tiverton Public Schools.

There were smiling faces and wagging tails at Ranger School this week as they welcomed their new comfort dog, Molly!!

Congratulations to the Tiverton Middle School sixth graders who were named National Qualifiers in the 2024 Rhode Island History Day Contest. Students from Mrs. Costa's class presented their NHD projects to teams of judges and competed against students in grades 6-8 statewide. Projects were based on this year's theme, Turning Points in History. Winners include Emma Helger, Lilia Joy, Julia Towers, Jackson Pepler, Aidan Schreiner, and Julia Melo (Not Pictured). The students will compete in the NHD National Competition in Maryland this June.


Congratulations to the Tiverton Middle School Mock Trial Team for winning their second trial in the RI Mock Trial Tournament. Tiverton represented the prosecution and defeated Moses Brown School, which represented the defense.

Congratulations to the Tiverton Middle School Mock Trial Team on winning their first-round trial in the Junior Division competition. TMS represented the defense and prevailed over St. Magaret's School, the prosecution, in a nail-biter trial before the Honorable Edward Newman.


We have partnered with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center, www.mlkccenter.org, to start a Food Bank at Tiverton High School. Families of Tiverton Public School students facing food insecurity may visit the Tiverton High School Food Bank on Wednesdays beginning April 10th. The food bank will be open on April 24th, May 8th, May 22nd, and June 5th from 3:15 pm - 5:15 pm. Summer hours are to be determined. When visiting the food bank, please enter through the main doors, and turn left after the office.
